Cari Luna is a Jewish (by heritage) Buddhist (by choice) from Brooklyn. When offers to buy her house kept falling through, she and her husband tried something unusual: turning to the patron saint of home sellers and buyers, St. Joseph.

According to The Wall Street Journal, in this difficult real estate market, people will apparently try almost anything to get their house sold. Even burying statues of St. Joseph in their yards. (Given local regulations about removal of embedded underground tanks from your property when you transfer ownership, I wonder if there are laws about digging up St. Joseph before moving.)
